Instant Pot vs. regular pressure cooker or slow cooker

Does anyone have any experience with using the Instant Pot and their thoughts about it versus using a regular pressure cooker or slow cooker? I have some friends that swear by it, but I resist buying too many kitchen gadgets unless I there is a clear purpose or function to owning one that I couldn't achieve using basic kitchen tools. The all-in-one functions seems nice, but does something that can do all those things actually do them well?..."jack of all trades...master of none."

I'm not totally sure, are you interested in the instant pot as a pressure cooker vs a stove top unit, or are you interested in how well the slow cooker/yogurt/etc settings work?

I just gave one to a GF. We used it I was impressed. I have Fagor Lux, i think they're both great. Instant Pot has a bigger following. Go with IP because of the availability of you tube.
