    Red face My toys

My newest toys. I have a soft spot for good knives and good tools. Everything else is secondary. Wilson hardness testers. Only need one, but ended up with two. Anybody looking for a hardness tester?

Don't worry Warren. Excellent response, by the way.

you don't happen to have any idea of where to get a diamond tip for those.
I have a tester just like that but I don't have a tip for it.

If I am not mistaken, diamond tips come with a standard shank

and fit more than one brand. I haven't started inquiring yet, but a quick net search turned up the following:

    http://www.newageinstruments.com/hardness-indenters.htm
    http://www.hardnesstesters.com/Produ...Indenters.aspx
    http://www.instron.us/wa/acc_catalog...%20Penetrators

Here is one at MSC with price

    I will inquire tomorrow.
