Have never made the plunge on getting a knife re-handled, now I have a Carter and a Burke I need to get re-handled as a gift... Any suggestions, I have perused the boards here and have seen people mention great knives by specific first names, but googling around has led me to nada.

Appreciate any insight.

I should note, looking for a burl handle for each. I know JKI does the traditional handles.

Rehandle a Bill Burke? Don't think I'd go there personally. Carter on the other hand is different… I didn't care for the "custom" handles my high grade funayukis came with so am having that taken care of.

Certainly a lot of people afraid of putting a new handle on a Bill Burke, does no one ever customize their Maserati anymore?

Can't go wrong with Dave Martell. Check out his re-handle gallery.

I shall check him out, thank you
