i would love an outdoor kitchen. i think firing up a wok outdoors just makes perfect sense. my hood vent is good..but certainly not great.

i see the clay wok burners online for sale. i think if i could find one locally, i would pounce on it and make and outdoor kitchen (complete with pizza oven)

i took a cooking class in some village in vietnam and they used one. it was kinda rustic and fun. crazy hot.

i think shipping cost would eclipse the cost of the actual burner.

Well, it might be rustic and fun but it's definitely not going to be convenient. There no nipping out to the backyard for a quick fry up when you're hungry since you have to get the charcoal up to temperature before you can do anything.

The few times I've used my wok outside, I just put it on a full red hot charcoal chimney starter. Works great. But I can understand if it is something you want to do more often that you would want to get a nicer solution
