The Akatsuki is more of a budget line compared to the Akebono line, so the free saya option for the Akatsuki will only be limited to Sepele (the first 3 I sent out today) and Teak (the rest) as below

Just received today! first impressions are great! Very thin, almost laseresque. Great big flat spot, nearly half of the blade. Height is spot on for my tastes - a little over 50mm. Finishing quality is stunning for a knife at this price point and the handle is stunning, simple but perfectly executed with the highest attention to detail. This is exactly was i was looking for to finish off my collection. My knives and stones knife block is now full. This is one of several ive purchased through James and as always great service and communication and arrived in Chicago days after purchase. Also, the saya is magnificent, James is truly a gifted wood worker. If your on the fence with one of these, do your self a favor and pull the trigger. Dollar for Dollar one of the nicest ive purchased.

Thanks for the acknowledgement, Scott. Looking forward to hear from other members trying out the new Jikkos.
