So I'm having a god tier kiritsuke made by a prominent custom maker later this year. What do you guys think are ideal measurements in both blade thickness and height, length will be +/- 250 blade edge so 270 ish. :knight: it's going to be a beast but as I don't own a kiritsuke I don't know what I'd want/like to have in blade specs. Currently thinking 5/6mm above heel and 46/48mm tall, tapering down to a very thin tip. I have a mukimono in queue from ikeda but it's still a month or two out.

Are we talking single bevel or just k tip gyuto?

Get it left handed… that way when you realize it won't work for you I can buy it from you at a discount

I was discussing a kiritsuke with Watanabe about 2 years ago but got the kensaki yanagi a K-tip gyuto instead. I'll PM or email you the specs he sent me tomorrow.
