I liked Food News Journal, but since they merged with Food52, I haven't followed it as much, but it is pretty much the same. Just go to the news section. Basically, they cull food/restaurant/beverage related stories from the media (including blogs and forums). They also have an amuse bouche section now with odd food stories.

Where else can you read about a well-endowed squirrel on a Brit cooking show?
