Greetings from Brockton MA
I found you guys while researching the Kramer Zwillinger knives. I am glad I stumbled upon you! We have mostly the mass produced German kitchen knives but I know I want to upgrade.
I just bought a 1k/6k king stone and am looking forward to rehabilitating my heavily abused knives!
If anyone is in the area and would care to share knowledge on sharpening or knives, I'd be most appreciative!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! My stones came in and wow are they easier to deal with than arkansas stones. Put a nice edge on a carving knife in just a few minutes of work.
