It pains me to have to sell this knife. It is an absolutely gorgeous honyaki blade, beautiful handle and saya, with excellent fit and finish. Steel is Blue #2, weighs 213 g, height at the heel is 52 mm, length on the edge is 255 mm, and the profile is similar to Masamoto KS, but a little taller. The handle is Mallee Burl and Musk Ox with a nickel spacer. Friction fit saya made from figured African Rosewood. This saya and handle are just stunning in person, I tried to take a bunch of photos in different light. Mert did a Sakai style hamon on this one that turned out really nice. There is a very small scratch over the TK makers mark which is shown in photo below. Mert is happy to fix this for the new buyer or if it is purchased in the US, we may go an alternate route.

I forgot to mention that this gyuto is new and unused.
 
That gyuto is unreal. I've made myself a ridiculous "only yo handle knives from here on out" pact with myself in a means as a limiting factor to purchase. But this is extremely tempting.
 
Anthony can you please confirm the grind?

The scratch by the Tk logo happened due to my stencil having an incision , didn't want to grind the makers mark off to alter the geometry by thinning the spine . Grind is asymmetrical convex
 
Have had some trade interest in this knife. For now I am only interested in a straight sale.

Really wish I could get this but already have a couple in line with Mert so my money be spent
 
If it goes any lower I may buy it back , it's a steal compared to what it will cost ordering in these specs as custom
 
Recently discovered Mert's work and I am constantly impressed. Really nice stuff! Good luck with your sale someone will have one helluva gyuto
