He is/was a sword smith apparently.

Has anyone heard of this name?
 
Mikami Masayuki is the Chairman of the All Japan Swordsmiths Association, and Is designated a Human Cultural Treasure
by Hiroshima Prefecture. He also makes wabouchous. His son Mikami Sadanao is also known swordsmith in his own right.

Ah! Sounds like he is the daddy sword smith. Any idea what the knives are like?
