    I don't think I've seen a collection with so many knives less than 5". What's the reason for that?

    Those CC boning/utility knives are extremely useful classics...

    same reason I like short barrelled rifles,shotguns and handguns as well as short binoculars.Short boats.Short vehicles. It's just a preference and I'm not butchering hogs,cattle or tuna. Handiness if that's a word.
