After driving all day and all night, I am back from the Boise Knife show.
I still don't have a phone. I lost it on the way there and no luck finding it on the way back. Tomorrow I will be going in to have a new one activated.

Here is one of my treasures I brought back from the show. A big slab of amboyna burl.

There was also a package waiting in my shop with these inside. I can't wait to get these all cleaned up so I can see what I have.

The knife show was a really good one.
But....... I am tired from all the driving.
Tomorrow I will be working on restocking everything and listing a ton of new stuff in the store as well.

Wow, that is crazy beautiful amboyna, glad you had a good time.

I got it from a guy who had a specialty wood store back in the 80s.
So it is at least 30 years old. Hard to find pieces like this anymore even when I buy directly from Laos.
This slab is just under 4 foot across. It is tough to tell from the photos but the sapwood has fine black lines.

That amboyna block would make the sickest coffee table ever - equipped with knee gashers and everything!
