Selling off some more of my collection to go along with my gyuto post in normal BST. Fewer knives means I need fewer rocks right? (Someone reassure of me this please..) Same deal as before, free shipping in the US. International shipping paid by buyer.

Also, apologies for all those who followed my instagram post earlier. I was having too many problems with it, so I reverted back to the norm. If you don't know what I'm talking about, then don't worry about it, its not really important.

Okudo Shiro Suita w/ Renge, 203x76x30- $475

Very white suita with some very pink renge that goes throughout the entire stone. There are some su portions on this one, but they seem harmless. Definitely in the mirror polish category, it is hard but it cuts steel quickly and develops a nice black swarf with just a few strokes on wide or single bevels.

Huge Honyama Suita, 225x100x38- $375

This stone is big. I am not sure its mine of origin. Its a very good performer but I marked the price down a bit because I felt a few scratchy particles in it once when I was using it. I lapped it a few strokes and it was fine. They could have just been dust or dirt on the surface of the stone or the blade but I cannot say for certain there aren't any more. That being said, they did not scratch the finish itself but I did feel them. Like the top stone this suita is pretty solidly a mirror polisher, its a tad bit slower than its counterpart but the mud it generates is thicker and smoother once it gets going.

Uchimugori, 196x70x45- $300

Last of many from an old Namikawa order many, many moons ago. I moved away from uchimugori for a long while and frankly forgot I owned it. Beautiful renge pattern and great matte finish. Its moderately soft and muds quickly as you might expect from an uchi. Its fairly cheap for the size because its got some inclusions further down in the stone that will need to be picked out once (or if) you make it that far.

Narutaki Tomae, 210x80x30- $400

An absolute gem. Buttery smooth. Luscious mud. Fast and soft, without being one of those stones that turns your sharpening station into a muddy puddle. Perfect for kasumi finishing and leaves a refined, toothy edge. If I didnt have another stone almost identical to it, this would be staying with me.

What is it you're sharpening in the pics? The blade of a plane?
