Helping a friend who bought this honyaki yanagi wants to know the maker. Thanks in advance :)

 
Yeah he doesnt know much about knives just getting into it. said he got it real cheap
 
Son in law did the same thing. BUT he bought a $60 blade for $30 so wth.

It says Sakai Suketomo 堺　助友.
Not sure if that's the correct reading as never saw it before.
