Going to tokyo and my boss (and a good friend) wants to buy a knife for me, and also one for himself (but not as expensive).

I'm probably going to replace my 300mm Yoshihiro Yanagi. I love my konosuke gyuto so don't even want to think about another gyuto.

Any suggestions? Shigefusa @ kiya?
 
i would recommend doing some research and getting in touch with some smaller market makers. if you have the ability to get to japan, get something you can ONLY get in japan. having something special like that would mean so much to me. you could probably get a custom started and have them ship it back to you when its finished.

on the other hand, i would love to get my hands on a shig :D
