Damn if not for all these aches, I would be done.

Have to ask you for a day extension. I have 4 blades done (polished) and started on handles for all. However, I won't be done with those till tomorrow afternoon, and won't have pics till Wednesday morning, as I don't take pics with a flash.

Sorry folks, I really tried, but pain got me to stop. If not one then another - I just recovered from a severe cold to develop a hip pain. Said reality - after 40 I am falling apart.

So I have something to show for, the blades are the following

    210 gyuto
    225 gyuto
    225 gyuto
    275 suji

All in 52100 with D handles (with metal tip)

Sorry for building all that anticipation.

    Marko,

Sorry to hear of your aches and pains. New York winters can be tough.

Any updates on the ready-mades from mid-December?

    Rick

Sorry to hear about your discomfort. Getting old does suck, and I am not even 40 yet, though getting very close.

I don't suppose we could get a list of the upcoming knives? I know I am somewhere in there :-)

I have a past hip and knee injury and once in a while one of them gives me troubles. Now it's a hip. It's an inflammation, so hopefully with good old Ibuprofen (600mg), it will go away. It doesn't hamper me working, but I can't stand on my feet for too long, so I have to alternate between standing and sitting.

The December knives are all done but handles. I think I will work on them as a part of a next batch of knives, which are all done but handles. These will be made with my updated D handle so progress is a little slower, but I am getting better at those, as well as getting faster at polishing. Hand-polishing the blade can take forever, if the blade is 63RC hard.

I was joking about falling apart, but after 40 it does take longer to heal and recover (if you play sports or exercise).

I do both and that is when I get in trouble. Learning to slow down the hard way.
