Thread: Custom Order Progress Update

Attempted two handles, one is success, and the other is what I call a learning experience (the error was preventable). Will start on a replacement for the second tonight.

210mm gyuto in 52100, cocobolo handle with blackwood ferrule, nickels silver spacer and tip. Balance at the ferrule.

The knife doesn't have the edge yet, so you can see the thickness I grind and finish knives in the first picture (a little blurry).

225mm gyuto in 52100. Sturdier knife, no flex on the spine - a direction I am taking with most of my gyutos. Handle claro walnut burl, blackwood ferrule, nickel silver tip. 196g. Balance right outside of the metal tip.

So impressive, Marko. I really like the balance point to your knives, makes it really feel like an extension of the arm.
