    Personally I'd rather see a 270+ suji.

Suji = 300 or more. You need a sword to be king! .)

I am going to make these for a quick (all-pros) pass-around to evaluate a geometry and overall performance. No size limit otherwise.

Been down with cold for over a week, finally recovered and back to working.
I have several knives in works, 3 need sayas and then will be ready to ship.

This one is done except a blade needs to be epoxied in.

52100, 180mm gyuto with D handle in Desert Ironwood, horn ferrule and N/S spacer.

I hope a person who is getting it will like it.

    M

    Back From Hiatus

It has been a while since I posted new work. Recently, I made changes to the grind, came up (with Devin's help) with new HT, tweaked D handle to reflect feedback I received. All of this took much longer than anticipated.

So here is one of my old custom orders.

52100. Cocobolo handle with buffalo horn (nice brown streaks throwout) and poplar saya. Gyuto is 255mm on the edge. Hardness is 63-63.5RC. Heat treated for high wear resistance, so this boy was very hard to finish by hand. 205g. 3mm over the heel, 2.1mm half the way, 1.65mm 2" from the tip. Same knife I used in a video to show food release.
