Here for the Steel, and Community

    Hello and happy weekend KKF-

Home cook and lurker here(time to come clean.) I haven’t worked in the restaurant industry professionally but have a good number of friends and family that have. One thing they have imparted is the importance of keeping and maintaining good tools in the kitchen. I have used KKF over the past couple years to research purchases and set good sharpening practices. A big thanks to all contributors for your information-

My other hobbies are woodworking and music- both of which have taken a hit in time after having our first kiddo last year. The good news is that I am spending more time than ever in the kitchen, breaking down fresh fruits and veggies multiple times a day outside of the usual meal prep. We have our second on the way so I’m already thinking of the next “over the top Apple-destroyer” purchase...

Excited to be a part of this awesome community,

    Kevin

Haha, I know- have been slowly upgrading kitchen tools the last few years and KKF has always been a great source of reviews and recommendations.

Baby number two came a bit sooner than anticipated- a daughter 12.5 months after our son we have now. We’re excited, going all in at once! But definitely going to cap it at two.

    ...definitely stopping at two.

    Welcome Kevin.

I initially thought that you had some crazy idea that you were going to be able to stop a two knives 😁.

You may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful knife
You may ask yourself, well, how did I get here?
