    It will completely heal in two weeks, maybe longer, as I will be putting some pressure on it while grinding. Yes, it is annoying, but I have no one to blame but myself. I have a checklist, following which would have prevented this.

    Anyway, this is a new look of a "classic" handle featuring blackwood ferrule instead of horn.

    and then, please stop posting pics. i mean, i don't even have the gyuto yet which i ordered with you, and i just started thinking about ordering another knife when looking at that suji... come on, you can't do that to me!!!

    You should have it easier. I cut myself with essentially a dull knife. You will get a knife with an edge on it.

    Just dressed the wound. It's bad but could have been worse, so I am glad for that. Lessor learned, hopefully. Now off to shop to finish another handle.
