All my sayas are made to the same standard, the only difference is the material. Finishing a saya in cocobolo, should have pics of it later today.

Cocobolo saya for the Shige. Once the wood ages, the match should be pretty close.

Cocobolo besides being very durable, also polishes very nicely (provided you finish it properly - sanding to higher grit with all scratches from previous grit removed). One of my favorite woods to work with. Love the smell of freshly sawn cocobolo. Second only to Lignum Vitae from oily woods.
