    Damasteel Gyuto

Hello and good day. I just took some photos of one I have been working on..

Its Stainless damascus from Damasteel. And has damascus bolsters and rosewood burl handles with copper pins and spacers.

    Specs,

    OAL 13 3/4 "
    Blade 8 3/4" aprox 220mm
    Handle 5"
    Heel height 51mm

Thanks for looking, comments and critiques welcomed.
    Randy

That is a great looking knife Randy!

That is probably the best looking piece of rosewood I have ever seen.

I think there is a lot going on with the damascus blade and the damascus bolster. I would have liked to seen the bolster in a straight steel instead of damascus.

    Just my 2 cents!

    Andrew, Thank you sir.

hattorichop, Your right on that set of rosewood. It is the nicest I have ever had the pleasure of using! There is curl and fire in there as well that didnt really show in the pics. Point taken about the guard.. good eye!

bcrano, Thank you very much.. I strive to make each and every knife better then the last. Its because of you guys and this forum, I have tuned in on my profiles and grinds. To all the Knife Knuts and the other makers here, Thank you!!!

Pierre, The pattern is called Borgman twist.. (spelling?) Its nice.. and Jr is already working on a similar looking pattern.. after seeing this ground out and etched..

Great knife. I'm not a fan of the pattern on Damasteel, but you certainly matched the handle and bolster well!

Beautiful knife. The only criticism I have is that the bolster blends in with the blade so well that they are hard to tell apart. Since the bolster extends up into the handle, the handle looks a little too short for the knife. I would have loved to see more of that rosewood, it is simply spectacular!
