....at least until I see something I like better.
I sent it to K&G roughcut. I could tell it was going to be decent,
but when I sanded it......:shocked3:

This is the wood you have to keep to show vendors when they ask what you want.

I'm sorry, Mark. I'm gonna be the only honest one here and tell you it's the ugliest piece of koa I've ever seen. You should just toss it in with my next order. I might use it to experiment with finishes or something.

Maybe I could sand it real smooth and paint it black or something.

What a tease!

I know.
But there were a few more with this batch and a bunch of others being done by K&G right now.
Not positive but I think some of them might look even better.

i would keep it as well. That is the most amazing koa I have seen.

Damn Mark...Dave is right....That is just incredible.

I figured Koa like this might knock people like Johnny Chance off the fence.
Through the next month I will be getting a bunch of really good koa back from stabilizing.
The guitar reject piece is going to have some real good reddish fiddleback.
I cut up an underground stump piece that will have super 3D compression curl.
And there is some I never showed anyone that came from an old stash that was inherited about 20 years ago.
