Anybody try to make it?
I was going to make some Indian lime pickle but I couldn't find (except online) asafoetida or fresh curry leaves.

I love the Indian hot mango pickle. I would like to make some at home because the commercial versions are ridiculously high in sodium. Unfortunately, I'm not too motivated because nobody else I know likes it.
Hmm, I haven't tried to make anything like that before, but now that you mention it, it's probably something that I ought to give a shot at. Will have to see if I can maybe scrounge up some time for that this weekend....
I like the mango pickle too. It's like chutney on steroids! I accidentally looked at the nutrional values and couldn'tbelieve the sugar and salt content. Doing it myself, maybe I could reduce it. BTW, it tastes great on almost anything if you haven't tried it.
