I love listening to some of the 80's Metal music. Metalica has always been one of my favorites and a benchmark to all headbangers young and old alike! I stumbled across these guys a couple years back. Im still amazed at how well they can jam on a Cello!

Just thought I would share a few clips. They do covers from many, many artists. and are some very talented musicians! Enjoy!

The Unforgiven is a great song. I guess it also shows how good the songs are that they translate to a different style so well. Not a big Metallica fan and never have been but Black is a great album

4sure! I like alot of there music. I agree, the fact the so many of there (Metalica's) songs can translate into different style's is a testimony to there talent.

Just listened to Stairway to heaven and its pretty cool as well! :)

And it's the long version!!! Seriously, they are good. Most people don't realize the range that cellos have; you can play almost anything on them. My son is the principal cellist of two orchestras and he and one of his friends used to do concerts in high school playing everything from Bach to Aerosmith and, yes, Metallica. I also think that there is an impression that musicians who play classical instruments only play classical music. Nothing could be further from the truth.

These guys are fantastic - I picked up their cd when it came out years before Metallica did their S&M album with Michael Kamen. It is amazing how much range the cello has.
