    I see. I used some thin CA inside the tang hole, just in case, as that is the only area where I might have generated some heat when drilling. Do you find some cracks on snakewood? I have had a block drying for two years now, ends sealed but the rest exposed. I don't' think I have noticed any checks on the surface.

    Here she is at 400 grit.I just finished putting another coat of CA.I will have a beverage while she dries and should have it done tonight.

    She is done.....Here is a pic of the mokume spacer.I was worried that a pattern would not show well,but it does.

    Wow, that is a mighty interesting sight to behold. For some reason, the ferrule and dammy pattern reminds me of Christmas.
