Picked up this knife and know nothing about it at all. Sushi knife? Its about 190-210mm Im guessing as it sits next to my 270mm Takeda there. Any idea who makes it or whats its for? Its a single bevel. Not sure if its a lefty knife...? kind of excited to find out. Thanks in advance!

Sakai Yusuke wa gyuto octagon. At least upper characters are exact match on Sakai when I read them.
Hope that helps you bluewayJapan on eBay sells them. Nice knife.
 
Edit: was busy looking at characters on the Sakai. Looking at blade photo more like a single bevel yanigiba. Hope this helps.

Yes the characters on yusuke are different for bottom characters, but top two characters match. It was late I was tired and last night the photos were to a link and small but hey... Lower characters may or may not be on yanigiba But hey at the time I was trying to give the guy a path
 
Thanks for the input guys! Picked her up for $75, not knowing what it was, but loved the feel in my hand.
