This is some Redwood that was part of a test batch that came back from being stabilized.
The wood looked decent before stabilizing, but it turned out better than I had expected.
These were stabilized by K&G a little different than usual, making the redwood harder and heavier than the normal stabilized redwood.

These blocks are going to the Knife Show in Pasadena.
But when I get back I have a lot more of this wood that I will be getting stabilized right away.

Let me know if you guys like this stuff.
If it gets a positive response I will have a lot of this stabilized.
That way I can keep the cost to you a bit lower.
 
I think that stuff is super nice!!!! WOuld like to get my hands on a block for..umm..."further testing"...yeah, that's it :)
 
chatoyance is a quality I really like. looking forward to seeing prices.
 
I like it, nice and bold pattern to the pieces.
 
That stuff is amazing. Would really like to stock up a few of these beauties. I have just made a couple of handles from the same wood and it behaves well and looks gorgeous.
