    Smelly bar mops/towels

Hey guys the flour sack towels and bar mops I use around the kitchen have this strange smell to them I can't get out. They smell like fat actually, and I was wondering if anyone has dealt with this. I usually soak them in the washer with tide and some oxyclean. That works great on my gym clothes but it isnt doing the trick for the bar mops and flour sack towels. I am open for suggestions, perhaps some bleach will do the trick?

    Thanks
    Jared

Bleach couldn't hurt. I've also used concentrated deck & siding wash (the kind that kills mold and mildew) with great success.

I usually just toss em and get new ones if they get funky.

Try a alkaline pre soak, ammonia and water.
