Scimitar handle questions.

I am profiling out a bunch of blades today, and thought of doing a 12" scimitar to use for this summer's BBQ festivities. I want to do a wa handle, but will this look weird? I am not a huge fan of western handles, but i will make it that way if need be(i have the perfect scales/bolster combo)So i have to make myself at least one western handled knife. What are your guy's thoughts on this?

Do it. It should probably taper like a "X" because of the pulling motion used. I've been thinking about wa scimitars myself.

Go with a western, I think a wa would look and feel a bit strange on a schimitar.

Hybrid handle. Do a full tang, but shape the tang like a Wa handle. That way you have the weight/strength in the handle, but the look of the Wa.
