Does anyone know where I can find some redwood or red Koa that has a nice figure and a dense grain? I am looking to buy some for a gyuto handle. Thank you for the help!

Check out Mark at Burl Source when he comes back from his trip!

The redwood blocks that Mark has are awesome. I went to see Mark at the knife show this weekend and saw his redwood blocks firsthand. Not only do they look great, but they're dense and solid.

When Mark opens up his store again, look for the "metallic" redwood blocks. They are amazing. My girlfriend even bought one so she can eventually rehandle her Carter.
