Just made upgrade for one of my costumers, with burn chestnut handle.
I think looks much cooler then regular Ho wood :D

Ho wood is as boring as it gets. Some say it's all about the knife, but if you can have a nice handle too, why not. These knives look great.
 
this is the exact same ho wood handle ,
just just painted in chestnut ?

looks nice , like Heijis and ets handles.

I thought these are chestnut, which is then burned to add durability and grip.
 
i recived them yesterday :D have to say they look so much better in IRL, the Hankotsu will never be a natural beauty ;) but it works, my first J-style boning knife, and they works realy well (use it in a pro kitchen). the handles are burned chestnut.
