Am I the only one that starts off thinking this may be good, and then gets more and more frustrated with it.
The fact it ends with this nearly brought a tear to my eye

You need to feel at ease when holding your knife, so look for a blade that has sturdy leverage and a secure and full-length tang, which is the metal at the back of a blade connected to the handle, providing more balance and making it more durable. Quality knives also have their handles attached to the clamp with rivets.

Did you not learn anything!!!!!!! QUALITY KNIVES ALSO HAVE THEIR HANDLES ATTACHED TO THE CLAMP WITH RIVETS

Oh and I've been to the stores, they do most of their sharpening service using a Tormek and the odd dished king stone, and "specialise in knives with lots of layers as they are sharper", disappointed was an understatement, and then I saw the prices......

Edit, on reflection the article is maybe not that bad, but could have been oh so much better

That guy must just love it when newspapers are looking to write articles about knives. The knives he sells are ridiculously overpriced and I guarantee he talks his spiel like in the article to people who go into his shop and they end up paying a fortune for sucky knives. I could buy knives from the US, ship them over, pay import fees and still end up paying less than what he charges. The UK is awful for knives, and shops like that are a typical example of what there is. As someone else suggested, of Jon Broida was interested in expanding his business, he could make a killing over here!

But then I'd be even poorer, at least now I have the excuse of shipping and import tax to curtail my spending....
