    2 Priorities for this Summer

    Magnetic Knife strips and handles.
I have been making a few half hearted attempts but I think it is time to get a bit more serious.
My primary motivation is for my sanity. Making something creative works like therapy for me.
I have the materials, the tools and the weather is getting better now.

I was talking to a friend who is a knife maker in Alaska. The subject came up about kitchen knives.
I ended up making a comment about Ivory and such for ferrules.
So he sent me this. .....as a gift.

He called a little while back and asked how I liked working with it.
A bit embarrassed I had to tell him that so far I had only looked at it and gave away a piece.

As I try to make stuff I will post photos here.
Whether it is a success or a failure.

Yes, but now I have to make things worthy of the materials.
The mammoth tooth is already drilled so that is out of the way.
I really like the orange walrus myself.

I just love the idea of a sea cow ferrule.

    Are you gonna sell this?

Cause if you do I gotta run blind around on the forum, not ever noticing your post!

I will probably be using it for my own projects.
But if I get any good, I might sell some of the finished projects.
