At least that is what Matt told me it is.
This started as the beginning of my downfall.
El Pescador sent me a knife to use so I would know what cutting with a real kitchen knife was like.
It has been a slippery slope ever since.

I just recently sent the knife to Kalaeb, who is doing a rehandle for me.
Here is where it is in the process.

That is an AMAZING transformation.

@kalaeb: It's a TKC and you'll have some significant modding to do before it's anything like that one. :)

Matt's done all six of my handles and he keeps getting better. That's really nice!

Thank you for the opportunity Mark. She should be there shortly:

Nice - o.k., I say that about anything koa, but I really mean it ;) Are those copper liners?

Stefan

very nice, love the coper!

The knife showed up today.
The photos don't even come close to how good the handle looks.
I really really like the copper with the Koa.
Very nice work. I am extremely happy with Matt's work on my handle.

why don't you do something about the saya? It's ashame that you've coupled such a beautiful handle with such a sh!tty saya.

I think the saya looks fine. Personally, I prefer plain-looking sayas (but still well made), and have the handles be the star of the show. That's just me.

Regards,

Mark

The koa doesn't have enough curl. I'd send it back.
