Seriously thinking of picking one up soon. Looking at his Blue 1 blades as that seems what he/they specialize in.
I've only played with White 2 yanagis up to this point. Anyone have any feedback?

They do seem like a good value for blue #1. My vain side wishes they had kanji on the front though...
Also curious to hear some reviews.
Ya I thought that was a turnoff at first but it's really starting to grow on me...
I'd say pay a bit more and get Hide or Gesshin Hide blue #1 line. More than happy with my ken saki yanagi and a little ko-deba.
On the other hand, a mizuno white #2 180mm yanagi came with an awful grind, but that's their cheaper end offering.
Ya they talk up the DX line saying it's comparable to honyaki... never really heard anything about white steel Mizunos.
Have you had a Blue 1 Mizuno to compare?
Nope, white #2 line is available from JCK.
If you would like to handle hide knives that I have, pm me. I'm in Kogarah.
Cheers for that, I'll keep that in mind.
they aren't that great
Salty has a vid that compares white and blue steel Mizuno honyakis.
I think Mizuno is being underrated here...
The difference between try and triumph is a little "umph"! NO EXCUSES!!!!!!!
