    Blue #2

If you score some I would be really interested in what you do with it. I think Blue has a certain feel. If it's heat treated well it has great sharpening feedback and great blade feel.

I just spent some time reading about it and also checking the specs on Z knives. Gator's site is amazing. I can get lost there for hours and hours! Based solely on the specs it looks as if it would or could be both a stand alone steel or clad in a san mai.

Im wide open to any other ideas or knife designs. etc.

Re-create the vintage Sabatier chefs knife with stainless cladding over blue number 2...Everything great about the vintage steel but a higher rockwell and less reactivity. Also make it modestly affordable...no fancy handles...just the classic rivets.

I like the sab idea. A slicer would be cool. What about a cleaver !!! San Mai would be cool, especially if you etched the line and brought the cladding a little higher up from the blade edge and made it jagged.

So I take it that Blue 2 is a steel that most here would like or want? I mainly was trying to get some feedback about the steel and how it preforms and if its a favorite of anyone. or if its one of the steels some of you dont like and if so why. Etc.

But I also ove to hear what sort of knives you want to see made. and or need to fill out your rolls. etc.
