    Mammoth tooth Gyuto

    Just wrapping up this custom order and thought I would share a few photos.

    240mm western gyuto. Tsunami pattern damascus. HRC 61.5
    handle is stabilized mammoth molar with African Black wood bolster and copper spacers and pins.
    Saya. handmade tooled leather.

    Randy, that is stunning. Love the Damascus pattern.

    I like it. I like it a lot. Mammoth looks sick with the black wood, it really is a beautiful blade and I like how its so well balanced, the handle doesn't outshine the blade and the blade doesn't over power the handle. They just look like they belong together. If I had one critic I think it would look slightly better(sleeker) if the spacer was angled, that's most likely personal preference though. Also that tooth is seriously amazing.

    Hmmm I see what you're saying but i think in this case the orientation of the spacer works because it matches the lines in the damascus and streaking in the mammoth tooth. If it was angled it would add some sleakness to the handle but then would clash visually with those other elements.
