I so want to use ovens like those. They look so simple to use and very efficient. Well once you get the fire going any way.

I like this thread. Copper cookware used to be one of those things that I always read about in books, but having never seen one I had doubts whether they actually existed or not.
We used to have a wood stove in my childhood home(s), obviously they were not Victorian-fancy but a stove is a stove is a stove. I remember my brother destroying mom's handbag by putting it on the stove, poor guy had no idea it'd still be hot.
 
I Think more people would be more concerned about copper in the ground water then pans.
There were a lot more retinning services at that time .
and do not cook acidic foods in the pans.

sometimes the question comes up were do you go for retinning
so here you go not cheap but if you got a good deal on a pan or pot .
