Post number 5 steely....that's very similar to the notch at the end of my cleaver....why is it flat like that and cut at an angle?.....any ideas.....Ryan

That cleaver in post 5 is modern take from a young blacksmith trained in Vietnam now working in France with a blacksmith.
and i think it's just the steel piece he works with is why his handle is like that .
but I am just blowing smoke up your skirt until you POST A PICTURE RYAN.
