Those first few knives made from re-purposed tools are freaking jackpot! I love when bladesmiths revel in the fact that they can smash a knife out of any good hunk of steel.
 
A friend of mine's favorite thing is making the rail road spike knives. He's a back yard smith.

That's not the half of it Zapata forged the first bowie knife used for making mezcal during the battle of midway and that mezcal knife cut the rope to the first rocket to mars after the 1812 war and that inspiration dawn the era of reality TV
which in turn discovered the kardashian's living under a rock they named zapata .

Yeah, except now that I've seen that picture I NEED a knife/letter opener made out of a Snap-on wrench!
 
here are a few blacksmith neck knives for you. tried to get a few of the blade makers here to make some, but everyone's busy making kitchen knives. My blacksmith friend Lee made the multicolor ones.
