I just finished adding a dozen blocks of stabilized Thuya burl to the web store.
Prices range from $45 to $55.
This Link will take you to the Thuya Burl

Following is information about Thuya Burl as stated on this Morrocan Website.
Thuya is an aromatic, exotic wood harvested from a special tree indigenous to Morocco. Grown exclusively in the Middle Atlas Mountains, thuya (say it twee-ya) has been revered since Roman times both for its gorgeous burled grain and splendid aroma. Ancient men of wealth demanded their furniture be crafted of this rare wood, which was often used in religious ceremonies. In modern times, thuya has become synonymous with wealth thanks to its incorporation into luxury products during the last several centuries. In fact, it was the first burled wood to be selected for the dashboard consoles of Rolls Royce’s expensive felt of opulent cars. The fact that the trees grow only in Morocco’s climate- and nowhere else in the world- has lent the wood an air of exclusivity which has heightened global demand.

Nice, one of my favorite woods.

Very cool wood! Although I'm not into flashy burl-handled blades, still it's nice stuff.

My second favorite burl after amboyna. Does it really smell nice?
Even after being stabilized it has a scent similar to cedar. Surefire way to know if someone is trying to pass off something else as Thuya Burl.

The knife i made for my sisters christmas present had a thuya handle, and it really is nice wood. The smell is kind of citrussy too, made me want to take the dust mask off when sanding it lol. If i had the money i'd be ordering me some of those

Wow, all gone from the store. Someone's hoarding. :)

Just out of curiosity in case another batch comes through, how is this stuff to work with. Is it on the softer side (KOA, Redwood), or more dense like some of the maples?

They all went to a knife maker in Russia.
I was told that Russia and Europe look at Thuya Burl a lot different than we do. Over there Thuya Burl has been used historically in items made for the Royalty. As soon as the guy in Russia saw these he sent a message that he wanted to get all of them.

Based on my sanding I would say it is in between Redwood and Koa.
There will probably be another batch in a week or two.

glad I got a block while they were still there. Now I just need to figure out what to do with it.
