My house was built in 1926, and the kitchen saw some changes over time. While doing renovations here and there remnants of the original configuration have made themselves apparent, and shadows of the original kitchen have shown themselves. When the cementicious siding was removed from the original clapboard the screen for the piesafe in the wall was revealed. The kitchen had a wood burning stove connected to the furnace flue that I uncovered when removing a very narrow pantry that had been built where the original stove had been, it is now the route for the range hood.
Very cool picture, Steely, thanks for them!
