Anyone here familiar with this "sport"? It was around a while ago then sort of disappeared, but it is back! I wouldn't imagine many people have seen it before apart from perhaps this article on cracked.com and it has also sort of been in the minds of long-time MMA fans for a while.

If anyone hasn't seen it before, it is basically arm wrestling where you can hit the other guy/girl with your free hand and you can also do "submissions". It is the invention of Art Davie, the man who originally was involved in the UFC back in its dark early days. So basically the result is one of the most horrifying/hilarious things I've ever seen in my life

And also it is rather violent and contains some swearing so maybe isn't safe for work

The fact that you don't have to keep your elbow on the table makes this look a little ridiculous.

Then there is this:

That XARM thing just seems like a sport made up for people who like MMA, but wish that there less strategy and more head trauma and broken arms... and poor James Irvin: first he loses at UFC and now XARM too... maybe he should try chess boxing.

Chess boxing actually seems like a sport that I'd watch, but it would be better if it was Chess MMA and they had a top-down shot of the board.
