So I just put a fresh edge on the sakai yusuke suji that I got off of LOL. The white steel felt awesome on the stones. Boy have I missed that feeling though it seemed a bit more wear resistant than the white #2 In the Konosuke gyutos that I used to have. Has anyone else had a similar experience with these two makers or is it just me?

Sure, lots of folks here have Yusuke's. I have one of the special think 210 gyutos. White steel does get dame sharp bit reactive as hell. Its still my favorite knife. FF are better than Konosuke

I only have 1 but it sharpens very easily and it is fairly unreactive. The fit and finish puts many other makers to shame
