I like unusual stuff.
These are all naturally occurring mutated freaks of nature.
You rarely see pieces like this. Not sure if that makes them rare though.
But ........they sure are unusual.

Mike, borderline on size. 1&1/8 x 1&1/8. Same stuff as you used on my petty.
...and the guys are right about the big ones being Redwood.

Last batch to get cleaned up today because I burnt up my sander.

Now to measure, price and photo these so they can go in the store.

I forgot to post what the different woods are. So better late than never.

Photo #1 Spalted Flamed Maple and Spalted Curly Myrtlewood.
#2 Manzanita Burl and Claro Walnut.
#3 2nd Growth Redwood, Flamed Old Growth Redwood and crosscut RW.
#4 Red Heart Maple Burl.
#5 My Best Redwood Burl.
#6 Spalted Sycamore.

Most of the pieces in the photos have been added to the web store now.
Tomorrow I will get back to adding the rest of them.
Then back to cleaning up more blocks and listing them as well.
Looks like I will be at this for a while because UPS brought another big box today.

Mark which of these shows better in the hand? I don't want any vertical grain- more pillow effect if you know what I mean.
#4234

#4228

They are both cut almost perfectly flat sawn.
#4228 has a few more small eyes inside the bubbles.
But #4234 is a bit larger.
Both are likely to be some of the better walnut burl I have seen.
