Dropped my knife in the sink today--it came back out without a tip. Made me plenty cranky, but it wasn't as bad as expected to fix. Not perfect, but at least it's pointy again.

Very nice Lucretia! I've been putting off fixing a broken tip myself and seeing this makes me want to go fix mine.

from the pictures.. I just realized that the Kasumi patters are not mirrored or identical on the other side of the knife. All along I assumed that they are.

Thanks! It was a little nerve-wracking, but it really wasn't too bad--and surprisingly quick. It was the first time I'd used my Beston 500. I have a little cleanup to do on it still, but it wasn't NEARLY as bad expected to get it to this "point".
