    Page freezing when typing reply

First, thank you for hosting such a valuable forum. Lots of good information here.

I just wanted to note that 75% of the time when I post a reply to a thread, the webpage becomes near unresponsive. Text takes 10-20 seconds to appear, etc. I've resorted to typing my replied in Notepad then pasting them in. I'm running Chrome on Windows on a pretty beefy machine that doesn't struggle with much. I'm wondering if it may be the emoticon animations that are causing issues, but that's just an uneducated guess.

It happens to me too, though only really when I'm trying to edit a post (for example when I spot some silly typos just after hitting submit).

I have the same issue with long delays when writing PMs. I had not written one in a while, so all I know is it is happening now. This is on a Win10/ Chrome setup and on a Win8/ Chrome setup. The lag/ delay can be for 10-15 seconds, and reoccurs every 10-15 seconds. Seems like it could be related to an auto-save, maybe. No issue with writing in a Quick Reply box though (like I am doing right now)

I have tried a private message yesterday and did not noticed any reply lag. And while posting other places the time from POST to seeing the post is what it should be.

I did run a maintenance on the threads, as that has helped lag issues before. Other than the auto-save showing as you type, and maybe a slight delay/hesitation, is it still happening to those of you reporting this issue?

I'm also getting a lot of lag in PM's and in the advanced posting screen. The quick reply is smooth though.

Yep same here. Still exists when I'm in the advanced screen / editing posts.

If you are getting this lag, can you put what equipment (tablet, phone, laptop) you are using when it happens and what Win# and either IE, Chrome, Firefox or app.
This will give me more information to feed to the developer. I do know he just expanded the storage on the servers, and that has helped at least one of those reporting this lag via PM.
