Website looks like crapola right now

I am in the middle of remodeling my web store right now.
If you have been there in the last day or so and thought it looked bad, you were right.
I expect to have things in order within a day or two.

My goal is to make the store look better, easier to use and better photography.
I have everything figured out now but it will take a couple days to implement the changes.

The store is still functioning if you need to get anything. It just looks bad.
I can't remember who it was who said it, but it looks like crapola on toast.
As fitting a description as there ever was.

So if it was your quote I am using, Thank You.

My favorite expression is: "It looks like it fell out of the Ugly Tree, and hit every branch on the way down."

Your website wasn't too bad, not great but I have seen worse just within knife websites. Easier to use, looks better, better photography are always good though, look forward to seeing the new website.

I am trying a different layout with the home page.
Right now the photos are mismatched. Kind of like placeholders.
I will take new photos and replace them tomorrow.

I was hoping some of you might take a look and let me know your opinions.
    Thanks, Mark

I think a lot of previous visitors may not have known what was in the different categories of the store and may have just left without looking around.
My goal was a quick blurp along with a visual to show what is in the store as well as make it easier to just go to their area of interest.
I have found (myself included) that people tend to just skim or ignore things if there is too much text.
I was hoping to keep things simple and intuitive. Still have a ways to go.

Any input or suggestions is welcomed.

I put in better photos and re-worded the home page.
I think it is getting better.
    What do you think?

In my opinion, the descriptions seem a bit long to read through on the home page. How about adding a section for dyed woods, though I don't know if you are able have items come up in more than one section.

I was thinking the same thing.
    Especially about the dyed woods.
Yes, I can make something show up in more than one category.

One quick comment: the left column is no longer necessary on the home page.
