    ...better to heat to 1700 degrees, hammer, then grind to slightly convex.

    I think the dog was just telling you that this one was obsolete and it is time to get a new one.
    As for the card.....
    just soak it in water and then iron it flat.
    It will work just good as it used to.

    The one he ate was an sd500 that I had replaced the LCD screen on. I was so proud of saving it, and now.........
