Fall is, by far, my favourite time of the year. My wife and I got married in the Fall, the weather is comfortable, there's great food to be made and eaten and nature doesn't hurt either, now does it?

After a vet appointment for my boy, and a glowing "annual review", we both decided to grab a Tim Horton's coffee and take a stroll in the forest. Where I live, we have some beautiful spots, and a great river running through the city.

Here's a pictorial short, on our Father and Son's day out:

Excited about what lies ahead.

What a great way to spend a morning!

Amazing! When the air is crisp, it makes me feel alive.

I met my wife in October.

Thanks guys, and thanks for sharing. :)

Heck, feel free to insert cool landscape and dog photos. It wouldn't seem right any other way!

Where are you located? That looks like parts of northern Alberta.

Tom I have no knowledge of dog stuff. What breed of dog am I looking at? Too cute.

Thanks, Don! He's an 8 year old beagle. He's a big guy, for his breed, but it's just more craziness and bigger cuddles. Beagles are funny dogs, in that they are very much DOGS! his life is driven by his nose and finding food/potential food. However, they're huge sucks! His ideal day would be something along the lines of:

Wake up at the foot of the bed.
Roll around on the floor for no apparent reason.
Eat breakfast with me.
Steal a few sips of my coffee while I look away at who knows what.
Go for a walk in the forest.
Come home and bark at the birds in the backyard.
Sit on a deck chair for an hour or so, while looking at how amazingly bird-free our yard is.
Come in and have a nap.
Listen to me play the uke.
Watch me eat lunch and after I'm done, eat his.
Get a visit from either a puppy or my niece.
Nap.
Help make dinner.
Watch us eat dinner and wait for a tiny bite.
Watch the Leafs play.
Go outside to make sure there are no birds in sight.
Come inside and sneak onto our bed right when we fall asleep.

Beagles are amazing with kids and other dogs, but aren't exactly "roll-over" and "heel" type of dogs. :D

I almost guessed a beagle, but he was just so small and didn't have the giant ears

Ahh... The crunchy leaves, the season of nutmeg, honey crisp apples and beautiful kouyou (colors of autumn)... It always puts a pep in my step. I love autumn the best too. :)

So... I really wanted to find something to say other than your dog is adorable... but... Your beagle is so SO incredibly cute. Is he still a puppy? He's pretty small.

Thanks, Mari! He is pretty freaking' cute...tough...lovable...I mean manly. Yeah, manly!

He's actually 8 years old, but just looks young and acts like a puppy.

This was taken this past summer, but here's a pretty typical scene at my house:

I love beagles!! Well, dogs in general truth be told. And since you said it wouldn't be right if there weren't pics of other dogs with a nice backdrop, here's one of me and my pup last august (don't mind the date on the photo).

It may have been August, but if memory serves, it was about 56 degrees out, and I was freezing just wearing a shirt.
